Getting up to speed on written English.

Starting a blog has made me realised that my command of written English has atrophied badly since my college days. For example, the uses of a dash have always stumped me; consider this: A dash is a mark of separation stronger than a comma, less formal than a colon, and more relaxed than parentheses. Err, run that by me again?

William Strunk’s much-acclaimed The Elements of Style is the perfect guide to come up to speed again.
