Blog Aggregators – like it or hate it

Don’t you just hate those blog aggregators that use ibots to grab your content and republish them as if they are the unique contents of one particular blog? Giuk.net is fine since it is clear and up-front on what it is, and is doing a great free service for bloggers and readers. Which bring me to: “Webgrrl/mrBadak, why are guys not monetizing giuk.net yet?”

  1. Haven’t had the time to change the giuk.net, which embeds a couple of ad templates. ‘Sokay la, the domain cost is quiet cheap and my hosting is sponsored, so it’s almost practically no cost involved, only time invested.

According to mrBadak, the aggregator is a bit low on monetizing value, and I suspect this is due to the generalized content and low-paying targeted audience (i.e. not many advertisers are targeting traffic from Sabah)
