Travels – General Santos City, Philippines

Last week I was in General Santos City, Philippines for a BIMP-EAGA meeting. Boxing fans will know that this is the home city of the famous Manny Pacquiao: his election posters were plastered all over Sarangani Province when I was there. Hopefully, he will win that too.

Gen San, as the city is commonly called by Pinoys, is also home to the second largest fisheries port in the Philippines where shasmi yellowfin tunas are landed by the hundreds everyday.

  1. Wow! These are nice photos of the fishport!

It’s one thing for visitors to say something good about GenSan but it’s even better when they blog about it, letting the whole world know what it is famous for.

Thanks for this post. Hope to see more photos in your next articles.

    Magandang GenSan!
