Book—The Godfather of Kathmandu

John Burdett’s The Godfather of Kathmandu: Burdett’s fourth book on Sonchai Jitlpleecheep – half-farang, half-Thai, Nirvana-seeking, marijuana-smoking, cop anti-hero. Kind of paperback you pick at airport departure which is just good enough to block out the distractions of modern air travel.

My 17-year old son (who I suspect is a literature snob)—he who likes Haruki Murakami—says, “Bleh!”
