Book—Devil’s Keep

I read Devil’s Keep by Phillip Finch based on the reviews at amazon.com—14 “5-stars” and 3 “4-stars”. Ultimately though, this is a run-of-the-mill, won’t-keep-you-up-till-the-rooster-crows kind of tale. It can be the basis of a screenplay of an action-packed movie, that I would concede, say, starred by Nicholas Cage playing one of the main character, Ray Flavor.

Finch’s tale is about a group of retired assassins of the US government (who else?) overcoming Russian mobsters in the Philippines. Kota Kinabalu is also featured as a tansit location for the baddies’ nefarious activities in the book.
